We collect information you provide directly to us when creating a profile, including your display name, age, gender, gym preferences, bio, Instagram handle, and profile photo. We also collect your email address through our authentication provider and your approximate location when you use the gym check-in feature.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to create and display your profile to other GymSpark members, facilitate Train Together connections and Gym Matches at the same gym, enable you to discover and connect with Personal Trainers, verify your identity via your Instagram profile, and improve our services.
3. Profile Visibility
Your profile is only visible to other approved GymSpark members. Your profile photo, display name, gym preferences, and check-in status may be shown to other users. Your email address is never shared with other users.
4. Location Data
When you use the check-in feature, we access your device's location to identify nearby gyms. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates — only the name of the gym you select. Location data is only used during the check-in process.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with service providers (e.g. cloud infrastructure) solely to operate the platform.
6. Data Retention
Your profile data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
